What is the Inbox Dollars website?
InboxDollars.com was founded in 2000 by Daren Cotter as cash-based online rewards club. The company is in business for more than 17 years. In 2005 it acquired SendEarnings and started to grow rapidly.
It’s an established and well-known company that pays for easy online activities, like taking online market research surveys, reading advertising emails, watching videos, searching the web, completing offers, playing games, printing coupons and more.
For non-US members, it offers similar websites: Inbox Pounds in the UK, and DailyRewards in Canada.
Is Inbox Dollars a Scam or Legit?
Inbox Dollars is a legitimate website and not a scam. It has BBB (Better Business Bureau) rating of A+ (under its parent company CotterWeb Enterprises, Inc).
From 2000 to 2016 the company paid to its members more than 50 million dollars. It’s made possible by connecting consumers with advertisers via targeted offers and campaigns.
Proof of Inbox Dollar Payment
Inbox Dollars pays as promised once you reach the minimum of $30 of available earnings in your account and request the payment.
I’ve received multiple payments in recent years, both by prepaid credit card and by checks.
To prove the payment, I’ve requested Inbox Dollars to send me a check for $78.97 on August 6th, 2018 (the balance was 81.97, but a processing fee of $3 was deducted). Here is the request:

How to make money with Inbox Dollars?
The money-making tasks in Inbox Dollars are very simple and could be done without thinking too much. Therefore, they can be easily combined with other activities. For example, my husband used to work on the surveys at Inbox Dollars while watching baseball on TV.
There are several ways to earn with Inbox Dollars:
Read Emails – advertising offers are sent to your mailbox inside Inbox Dollars, so they are not flooding your private email. Opening the emails only takes one click (compared, for example, with FusionCash where it takes more time plus entering a long secret code to get a credit). Users that login into Inbox Dollars daily may get up to 3 Paid Emails per day. Less active users will get less.
Take Surveys – There are several survey options every day. You can see the estimated time and the reward before you start. Some surveys have several pre-qualification questions. If you are disqualified, you’ll still get to spin a wheel and may win cash or sweepstakes entry.
Complete offers – you can choose from many sign-up offers and make anywhere from $0.5 to $20 per offer. Most of the offers are free, others will require you to buy something.
Search the web – you can search in Inbox Dollars instead of Google and get very similar results. Each search helps you to progress towards “Scratch and Win” card.
Watch videos – there are short videos you can watch and earn a few cents for each one.
Clip Coupons – chose from hundreds of grocery and household coupons and earn an additional $.10 per each redeemed coupon.
Refer friends – invite friends to join using your referral link and you will receive 10% of your referrals income forever. This is a real passive income opportunity.
What in Inbox Dollars makes it attractive?
First of all, InboxDollars offers a generous sign-up bonus of $5. A variety of paid activities is pretty good. This is one of the few companies that pays you for reading advertising emails via their site.
I like $0.10 reward for redeeming easily printed coupons – no need to look for Sunday papers.
There is no complicated points system, everything is measured in plain dollars, so you never have to translate points to real cash value.
The payout process is easy. You can request a traditional check payment, prepaid Visa card or another gift card.
What are Inbox Dollars Complaints?
The minimum payment is $30, which is a bit high compared to the minimum of $3 gift cards at Swagbucks.
Many surveys have pre-qualification questions and you often may end up disqualified.
From the BBB site, I’ve learned that the most common complaints are about the sudden termination of account based on a supposed violation of the terms of service. See the tips below how to avoid such an issue.
MoCashForYou tips for Inbox Dollars members
You should read Terms and Conditions at any site you are signing up for, as creating an account is considered as an agreement to all these terms. You need to be aware of possible issues that can cause you to lose your earnings. I know you don’t really have time for long documents, so here are the main “Do Not’s” that can cause an account termination:
• Don’t refer household members
• Don’t create multiple accounts with different emails
• Don’t create multiple accounts from the same device
• Don’t log in from abroad (meaning NOT from the country listed on the account)
• Don’t use VPN, Proxy or blocked IP
Additional tip:
Cash out as soon as you get to the minimum amount of $30. There is a processing fee of $3, but don’t be deceived by it. Actually, after the payment is processed, you’ll be immediately credited $3 towards your next payment. I think they just want to ensure you have something to lose and won’t stop using this website.
MoCashForYou Verdict:
Inbox Dollars is a legitimate website and there is no reason not to use it for some extra bucks. You are not going to be rich from this, as it’s not designed to be a major income source.

The only app that currently is focused on watching video clips and really pays is Zynn. It’s a new app (from April 2020). It pays $1 sign up bonus. Easy money for watching video clips, similar to Tik Tok. Zynn pays to PayPal immediately. Works in the US and Canada only. (>>Zynn full review).

bjr Mary,
Merci beaucoup pour votre analyse sur midjobs où je suis une victime. depuis le 24/05/2020, ce site est fermé alors que les midjobers attendaient d’être payer après avoir visionner des vidéos.
question:
qu’est ce que vous pouvez nous dire sur Gramfree et wintub qui proposent aussi des videos comme Midjobs à la différence que ces sites sont totalement gratuits
Hi Bruno,
I’m not familiar with these sites. If it’s free, then you are not going to lose your money and it’s already better than Midjobs.
However, sometimes scammers are not looking for your money but for your data. Be careful.

How can i make money here?
Hi Danica,
Where are you from? Are you asking about Inbox Dollars?
You can make money from reading emails, doing surveys etc, as described in the post.
I also recommend PayBud (accepts international members) that pays for playing games like Trivia and Spin wheel.

Is it possible to sign up for Inbox Dollars if you are in a different country from the US? If not please Mary suggest to me other legit online money making ways.
Hi!
Inbox Dollars is only for US residents. What country are you from?
I’m working on a post about legit ways to make money in Africa and Asia (or anywhere).
Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, you can try Clixsense, they accept members from anywhere.
Also, check out Swagbucks, that is available in many countries (they don’t publish the full list, but worth trying).
My favorite surveys site is PaidViewPoint, as their surveys are by invitation only, so you are NEVER disqualified. Just take into account that the surveys number is limited, so it will take time to cash out. But nothing to loose, as they accept all countries where PayPal is available and you don’t waste your time with them on disqualifications.
Mary

Wow I had no idea about Inbox dollars Mary and I love your helpful tips particularly pointing out we should be reading the Ts and Cs of all websites we sign up too – how many do I wonder. But it does sound easy and real but in the context that you ‘play by the rules’
Hi Fleur,
I’m glad you find my tips useful. People neglect such basics things like reading “Terms and Conditions” and then get surprised by account termination and write angry reviews on the BBB website. First of all, we need to know the rules.
Making a little money with Inbox Dollars is easy.
Thank you for stopping by.

I’ve always been skeptical about the open-envelopes-for-money or the take-surveys-for-money niches. I’ve been scammed so many times. Also, this product may be the real deal, but it certainly isn’t effortless.
You have to put in a lot of work to make some decent money. Still, it’s an honest day’s work. Thanks for the review.
Hi Shalisha,
Thank you for sharing your insights.
Inbox Dollars has a Search paid activity, where you don’t need to so anything special, just search the web as you usually do with Google. This can be called absolutely effortless. Clicking on emails while you are watching TV is next to effortless as well. Taking surveys is easy and also can be done at the same time as other activities. For example when you just want to pass time of the advertising break on TV.
For sure, this website and similar are not supposed to be a source of major income.
One thing I can promise – it’s not a scam. Inbox Dollars pays you real money.

Hi Mary 🙂 I read your entire article and it seems a great way to make some extra money without a lot of hard work and too much time. I’m not sure where I would start. But surveys would be probably be easy but how time consuming are they? Inbox dollars appears to be different from some of the others I’ve seen online. How much time do you put in doing this?
Thank you 🙂
~Rob
Hi Rob,
Great questions
Start with an easy signup bonus and you’ll get 2-3 simple New Member tasks that will bring you several bucks more. Then continue to read emails daily and take surveys when you have some spare time. You can put 15-30 min a day, just do it consistently and you’ll see the earnings add up.
Thank you for stopping by.
