Is Zynn A Scam Or Legit Way To Earn From Videos? Zynn Review

Who doesn’t want to get paid for watching videos? Probably, everyone can find a few minutes a day to watch short video clips if a legitimate website is ready to pay for it. Looks like after many scam websites (see Workmines and Midjobs reviews) I finally found one that is FREE and really pays out.

Let me introduce you to Zynn!

In this Zynn review, I’ll give you step by step instructions on how to sign up and earn money with Zynn. I’ll also recommend you other ways to make money online, from your home.

I think we all need some extra income in these unprecedented times of Coronavirus pandemic.

Just a quick note about requirements: you have to be the US or Canada resident, over 13 years old.  The app is available for both Android and iPhone.

What Is Zynn App?

Zynn is a unique platform where users can share creative content, similar to Tik Tok. As a user, you can watch short fun videos and get paid for it! I found most videos quite entertaining like cooking, makeup, sports, animals, etc.

It’s a new app with a large team in China and also folks in the US (probably in San Mateo County of California).

Zynn is owned by Owlii Inc, incorporated in 2017 in California. I have verified it in the Terms of Service and the App Store. The platform is funded by Kuaishou, the Chinese rival to TikTok owner ByteDance.

Update – June 17th, 2020

Two things happened recently that you should know about before using Zynn.

First, the app was removed from the Google Play store and from AppStore as it was accused of stealing TikTok content. Read this article from the BBC for more information. Zynn tries to appeal the removals, but we don’t know how it will turn out.

Second, the rewards program mentioned in this post ended on June 16th, 2020. You cannot get paid for referring people and watching videos. You should be able to cash out if you have an outstanding balance. It looks like you will still get rewards for your referrals watching videos, as per the rules of the original program.

Zynn started a new program where you accumulate ZynnCheers points for your engagement on the platform but it’s not clear yet how these points can be translated to any money.

Zynn Payment Proof

I signed up with Zynn, watched several videos, and was able to withdraw the first payment of $0.30 via PayPal. The good thing is that I received it immediately after request. No need to wait. Here is the proof:

This first withdrawal is great to convince new users that there is no catch, they are not wasting their time and get paid. Then I continued watching videos and also invited several friends to try Zynn. The next day I was able to withdraw $50 and it also arrived in few minutes to my PayPal account.

I was happy to see that the app really pays and does it quickly.

How Does Zynn Work?

Let me take you through the process with all the details.

Sign Up with Zynn

First, you need to sign up using your mobile phone (both iPhone and Android are fine). Do NOT use VPN. Do NOT use temporary phone numbers like Google Voice phone. You will need your phone to get validation codes when you want to withdraw the money.

Click on this link and it will take you to the following screen:

Do you see the code in the middle (DF3CKAP)? Click on the “Copy” button to the right of this code. You will need the code in a second. It should get you a $1 bonus.

Now click on the yellow “Join Zynn Now” button and it will take you to the App Store or Google Play. You will see this icon:

Download the app and open it. There are 3 ways to sign up. You can use your Facebook profile, Google Email, or the phone number. I’ve heard that the easiest way is to use Facebook.

I used the phone number and got a Verification code in a second. Once you are finished, you’ll see the screen like this:

Click on the yellow “Go” button. You will see the screen below. Enter this code: DF3CKAP.

Click “Confirm”. You should get a $1 sign-up bonus immediately.

Set Up Your Profile

Tap on the person icon in the bottom right corner. Then click on the little hexagon in the right top corner. It will take you to the Settings menu. Then go to “Profile” and chose a new username. You can update your gender, upload your picture and add some Bio if you want.

Now you are ready to make money!

How To Make Money With Zynn

There are 2 main ways to make money: watching videos and inviting friends (referrals). In the future, the company may add more options, we’ll see.

Watching Video Clips

To start watching videos, tap on the present box icon on the bottom. The clip will start playing and you’ll see a yellow circle growing around the icon. It stops growing when the clip ends and restarts.

To move to the next clip, pull down the screen with your finger OR tap on “Home” in the left bottom corner. The new clip will start and the yellow circle will keep building up. Once the circle is completed, you will get points. It can be in the 45-75 points range.

Sometimes the present box icon turns into the money bag icon. It means you will get a larger points amount for this round, like 170-500 points range. The points can be redeemed to cash once a day. 10,000 points worth $1. Currently, the daily limit of points is 10,000. Don’t be surprised if you stop earning after an hour or so. Just come back tomorrow.

Referral Program

You can make more money if you bring new members to Zynn. Currently, the referral bonus is up to $20 per friend.

The first $6 will be credited when the friend joins, validates the account and watches first videos. If they continue watching on day 2 and day 3, you will get another $1 per day.

You will also earn points in the following days when your referrals use the app.

How to find your referral code? Tap on the present box icon and then on the yellow “Invite” button. Your code will be in the middle of the screen. For easy sharing, you can use the buttons of social media from the bottom of the screen: Facebook, WhatsApp, Messages and more.

How To Withdraw Money From Zynn

There are two steps in the process – redeeming points to cash and withdrawing the cash to PayPal.

Redeeming Points To Cash

You can access your wallet by tapping on the present box (or money bag icon). It will take you to this screen:

In the middle, there is My Wallet row, with the number of points you have accumulated. Click on this number. You will see the following screen:

You can see your points transactions for watching the clips. If you tap on “Cash”, you will see the cash transactions for redeeming points, withdrawals and referral bonuses.

Tap on the “Redeem” option on the top. You will get to this screen:

Move the dot from Min to Max to redeem points to cash. You can redeem points to cash only once per day in multiples of 100. Then go back to the previous screen.

Withdraw Cash to PayPal

Now you can tap on the “Withdraw” option. Here you can choose the amount to withdraw: $5, $10, $20 or $50.

Only once, in the beginning, you will have a $0.30 option as well, so you can test the app and make sure it works for you. If you got the $1 sign up bonus, you can cash out $0.30 immediately.

I highly recommend you cash $0.3 immediately, to finally verify everything is working for you as it supposed to. 

Once you tap on the desired amount, you will be provided with a verification code via text message to your mobile phone. Enter it and confirm your withdrawal.

Recently, Gift Cards were added to the payment options. You can choose from Amazon, Walmart, Target or other options.

You can make only one withdrawal per day.

Zynn’s Customer Service

As with any new app, technical issues and glitches happen to some users from time to time. I’ve heard about people getting only 1 point for watching a clip or getting only $0.01 instead of $1 for referral’s day 2-3. Don’t be discouraged if anything like that happens to you. Try reaching out for help.

There are several ways to contact Zynn if you have any issues.

#1 – Submit a question under the “Help and Feedback” section in the “Setting” menu.

#2 – Join the Facebook group “Zynn members” and post your question there.

#3 – Send a private message via Facebook Messenger to one of the representatives. You can find them in the group I mentioned above. Two of them that I know are “Zynn Park” and “Zynn Rachel”. They reply quickly, even on weekends.

Is Zynn A Scam?

Why would someone pay you good money for watching silly video clips? Is it a Scam? This is a legitimate question everyone should ask when they see an opportunity that looks too good to be true. I have a detailed post about it:

What Is Zynn’s Business Model?

For now, I can see how Zynn pays out money to the users, but I don’t see how they generate income. This is not a sustainable situation, as you can imagine. Though, I can think about it as a period when the company builds its customer base. They pay to bring users to the platform. Maybe, Zynn is planning to make money from advertisements, membership fees or some other creative ways we don’t see now. I won’t be surprised if it will stop paying for watching or referrals in the future. For now, it looks like a legit opportunity to earn money from the comfort of your couch.

From my chat with the company’s representative: “there might be another program coming out soon to incentivize content creators. Once the program is launched, there will be an announcement in our social media pages”.

Three most important things that convince me that Zynn is NOT a SCAM:

#1 – It’s FREE. There is no money they can steal from you.

#2 – It really pays (see my payment proofs at the beginning of this review)

#3 – There is minimal information they ask about the users: phone number and PayPal account. The phone number is used to send you a validation code, as a security measure.

Final Thoughts about Zynn

I think that Zynn is a great opportunity right now to make some easy money from home. I don’t believe the earnings will stay high for a long time, but there is nothing to lose now.
